	When is the 2016 Montgomery College commencement ceremony? The commencement ceremony takes place on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. on the athletic field of the Rockville Campus. Am I eligible to graduate from Montgomery College? You should meet with a counselor or advisor to run an unofficial audit to see if you are eligible to graduate. How do I participate in the commencement ceremony? You must complete a commencement participation form. You can apply online by logging in to My MC and selecting “Apply for Graduation” under Student Quick Link or from the MC Home page by selecting the Admissions tab and selecting “Apply for Graduation” from the list on the left of the page (application deadlines follow). Open periods for online graduation application: Fall, June 2–October 1 Spring, October 2–February 15 Summer, February 16–June 1 You will receive a packet of information, including the commencement participation form, from the graduation coordinator on the campus you attend. The packet will be mailed the first week of April. You should return the commencement participation form at the Grad Finale on the campus where you applied for admission. If you are unable to attend a Grad Finale, you must submit the participation form by May 6, 2016, to the graduation coordinator at the campus where you applied for admission. We will also be mailing the guide, including Grad Finale details, to all graduation-eligible students the week of April 11. When and where can I buy my cap and gown? Caps and gowns go on sale during Grad Finale at your campus. Grad Finale events will take place on the following dates: Tuesday, April 19, Germantown Campus, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Thursday, April 21, Rockville Campus, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Do I have to attend rehearsal? We strongly encourage you to attend the graduation rehearsal. The rehearsal is May 17, 2–4 p.m., on the Rockville Campus athletic field. Do I need tickets for my guests? Yes, your guests must have a ticket to attend the commencement ceremony. You will receive four tickets at the Grad Finale or from your graduation coordinator. When will I receive my diploma? You will not receive a diploma at the commencement ceremony. You will receive a letter in the mail indicating when you may pick up your diploma. The time frame is mid- to late July.
