When is the 2016 Montgomery College commencement ceremony? The commencement ceremony takes place on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. on the athletic field of the Rockville Campus. Am I eligible to graduate from Montgomery College? You should meet with a counselor or advisor to run an unofficial audit to see if you are eligible to graduate. How do I participate in the commencement ceremony? You must complete a commencement participation form.
When is the Montgomery College Commencement Guide available? The final version of the commencement guide is available now. Click here to download a PDF version of the Commencement Guide 2016. We will also be mailing the guide, including Grad Finale details, to all graduation-eligible students the week of April 11. When and where can I buy my cap and gown? Caps and gowns go on sale during Grad Finale at your campus. Grad Finale events will take place on the following dates: Tuesday, April 19, Germantown Campus, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Thursday, April 21, Rockville Campus, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Do I have to attend rehearsal? We strongly encourage you to attend the graduation rehearsal. The rehearsal is May 17, 2–4 p.m., on the Rockville Campus athletic field. Do I need tickets for my guests? Yes, your guests must have a ticket to attend the commencement ceremony. You will receive four tickets at the Grad Finale or from your graduation coordinator. When will I receive my diploma? You will not receive a diploma at the commencement ceremony. You will receive a letter in the mail indicating when you may pick up your diploma. The time frame is mid- to late July. |
