When is the 2017 Montgomery College commencement ceremony?
The commencement ceremony takes place on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. on the athletic field of the Rockville Campus.

Am I eligible to graduate from Montgomery College?
You should meet with a counselor or advisor to run an unofficial audit to see if you are eligible to graduate.

How do I participate in the commencement ceremony?
You must complete a graduation application. There are two options for completing the graduation application:
• You can complete the appliciation online by logging in to MyMC and selecting “Apply for Graduation” under Student Quick Link.
  Open periods for online graduation application:
• Fall, June 2–October 1
• Spring, October 2–February 15
• Summer, February 16–June 1
• A graduation application will also be mailed the first week of April in a packet of information from the graduation coordinator on the campus that you attend. You should return the graduation application at the Grad Finale on the campus where you applied for admission. If you are unable to attend a Grad Finale, you must submit the application by May 5, 2017, to the graduation coordinator at the campus where you applied for admission.

When is the Montgomery College Commencement Guide available?
The final version of the commencement guide is available online on March 1 at montgomerycollege.edu/commencement. To download a PDF version of the Commencement Guide 2017, click here. We will also be mailing the guide, including Grad Finale details, to all graduation-eligible students the week of April 10.

When and where can I purchase my cap and gown?
Caps and gowns go on sale during Grad Finale at your campus. Grad Finale events will take place on the following dates:
Tuesday, April 18, Germantown Campus, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Wednesday, April 19, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Thursday, April 20, Rockville Campus, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Am I required to attend commencement rehearsal?
We strongly encourage you to attend the commencement rehearsal. The rehearsal is Tuesday, May 16, 2–4 p.m., on the Rockville Campus athletic field.

Do I need tickets for my guests?
Yes, your guests must have a ticket to attend the commencement ceremony. Once you submit your application for graduation, you will be eligible to reserve 4 tickets beginning April 24 by registering online. Visit mcmdcommencement.com to reserve tickets.

When will I receive my diploma?
You will not receive a diploma at the commencement ceremony. You will receive a letter in the mail indicating when you may pick up your diploma. The time frame is mid- to late July.
