Two Days Left! Complete the Employee Remote Work and Return-to-Campus Survey by July 24

The Office of Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management (HRSTM), in partnership with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE), has sent out a survey asking that employees complete a Employee Remote Work and Return-to-Campus Survey to provide feedback as to where more communication, training, and/or support is needed to keep employees engaged while working remotely and to feel safe in the workplace when returning to work on-site, as public health conditions warrant. All responses will be kept confidential. Survey data will be aggregated and will only be shared with a select team of HRSTM and OIRE staff for the purposes of reporting the follow-up. The survey should take about seven minutes to complete. Please complete the survey by Friday, July 24, 2020.

Maryland Contact Tracing Underway: Is Your Information
Up to Date in Workday?

In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Maryland is conducting time-sensitive contact tracing. Contact tracing is the process of identifying people who may have come into contact with an individual with an infectious disease, in this case COVID-19. In the event that one of our employees is infected with the disease, the local health department will contact the College and request contact information for others who may have been exposed. Contact tracers will contact those exposed by calling from 240-466-4488 or if you have caller id: MD COVID. Answer the call and stop the spread.
In alignment with our MC COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan and to assist in contact tracing, we need all employees to update their personal contact information. Visit the job aid for step-by-step instructions.

  • Contribute transferable skills while adding to professional growth and development.
If you are a supervisor and your department has employees who can support others with increased workloads, through the Talent Share Program, please visit Talent Share Program and click “contribute talent form” to initiate the process.

Take Some Leave and Enjoy the Summer

Working through our current unusual circumstances require that we all make certain adjustments in our lives. One of these adjustments is to manage the boundaries between work time and personal time more intentionally when working from home. It is important that we all take time to step away from work, rejuvenate, and attend to our personal and family needs and interests. We encourage all employees to use their available annual leave/recess days and to communicate and work with their supervisors to ensure that they can do so. Take some time to enjoy this summer!
