Employee Spotlight: Fran Nolen

Fran Nolen has been affiliated with Montgomery College since 2013. She is an adjunct faculty member, and a few years ago, she became an instructional lab coordinator for the Chemical and Biological Sciences Department at Germantown Campus. For the past few years, she has contributed to student success by giving to the MC Foundation through payroll deduction.
“I was raised in a culture of philanthropy. Even though in my large family we often didn’t have money for luxuries, we always helped our neighbors.” —Fran Nolen
One of her proudest moments this year has been garnering 100 percent support of the staff union in the reallocation of professional development funds. This resulted in reallocating $75,000 to the Emergency Fund to support our students during the pandemic.
The need is great and our employees rise to the occasion. For more information on giving or to make a contribution through payroll deduction, please contact Colleen Dolak annual fund manager or by phone at 240-676-2822.
