“Your Voice, Your MC” Employee Experience and Culture Survey to Open February 15
About the Survey
The survey opens for a two-week period from February 15 to March 1, 2021, and will take about 20–25 minutes to complete. Respondents can be assured that their survey responses are completely confidential and anonymous. ModernThink will not share usernames and aggregate response data with the College to ensure responses are not attributable or identifiable to individual employees.
This is a chance to share your thoughts, perspectives, and feedback. We look forward to receiving your feedback and for sharing your voice to shape “your MC.” At the close of the survey, ModernThink will provide a summary of the organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence the College’s culture.
Feedback Sessions
In April through early May, ModernThink will host a series of feedback sessions with College stakeholder groups to share and validate their findings. Then, building on the data and findings from the survey, a proposed action plan will be developed over the course of the summer and shared with the College community in the fall.
Questions?
For more information about the survey, visit the Office of Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management (HRSTM) survey webpage or contact Elaine Doong.

Talent Share Program Provides New Employee Self-Contribute Form
Montgomery College continues to respond to the challenges of COVID-19 by creating opportunities for employees to share talent and expertise across the organization through the current Talent Share Program. Employees will now have the opportunity to self-contribute talent share requests/needs.
An employee self-contribute talent form has been added to assist in matching hiring managers’ opportunities with an employee’s talent. While the employee will still need to discuss and receive approval from his/her manager to participate by self-referring, the process will:
- Allow the employee to identify an opportunity that is best suited to his/her qualifications, skills, and interests;
- Ensure a more accurate match between contributor and the requesting department; and
- Assist hiring managers with available resources, the opportunity to allow employees to learn new skills from other MC areas, and meet new colleagues and co-workers.
We will make efforts to assign employees to their desired assignment; however, we cannot guarantee it, as the College’s needs are priority.

Talent Share Gives Support to Montgomery Scholars Program
I really appreciate the help that we have received from Christy [Slaughter] through the Talent Share Program. Nao [our student] works directly with Christy and has expressed how valuable Christy’s support has been in processing the [Montgomery] Scholars applications. It is simply wonderful to connect with a great colleague and a valuable resource through this program. We are truly grateful.
—Shweta Sen, Associate Professor, English, and Director, Montgomery Scholars Program

It has been both interesting and informative to learn how other departments operate and about the services they provide. Not only have I gained new skills, but I have a better understanding of the way the College functions as a whole. Thank you for this opportunity.
—Christin Slaughter, Instructional Laboratory Coordinator, Chemical and Biological Sciences Department, Germantown Campus
