Germantown Campus to Serve as Mass COVID-19 Vaccination Site for County

Governor Hogan announced plans in a March 23 press release for opening six more mass vaccination sites in the state of Maryland—including MC’s Germantown Campus—beginning in early April. Montgomery College will serve as the host site but will not administer the vaccines or run the site. MC employees and students will have to follow the same protocols around eligibility and appointments required of other residents. The College’s Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management will make a formal announcement with more details when appropriate. See Dr. Pollard’s memo.

Congratulations to Adam Reid, New Director of Public Safety, Health, and Emergency Management

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Adam Reid as the new director of public safety, health, and emergency management. As director of public safety, health, and emergency management, Mr. Reid’s role will expand to include a focus on public health. A focus on public health through a lens of public safety is important as we plan for and transition to a post pandemic environment. Additionally, the environmental health and safety function and team will report to public health. This realignment is based on the core purpose and function of public health at Montgomery College. The focus on health and safety in today’s world is expansive and the synergy that will be created with this new alignment is important.
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Adam Reid into this expanded role at the College. View the full announcement.
