Workday Project Continues
With each Workday project milestone, the College nears its goal of enhancing business processes that generate operational efficiencies. One of these efficiencies is employee self-service (ESS), a feature that allows employees to initiate actions independently. The ESS tool in Workday helps to eliminate time-consuming manual processes while improving the user’s experience.

Take Some Leave and Enjoy the Summer
As we continue to work through our current unusual circumstances it's important that we all make certain adjustments in our lives. One of these adjustments is to manage the boundaries between work time and personal time more intentionally when working from home. It is important that we all take time to step away from work, rejuvenate, and attend to our personal and family needs and interests. We encourage all employees to use their available annual leave/recess days and to communicate and work with their supervisors to ensure that they can do so. Take some time to enjoy this summer!
Annual Leave Carryover Deadline: December 22, 2021
As we approach summer and vacations are on the horizon, be sure to plan your annual leave use for meeting the maximum allowable carryover deadline of December 22, 2021. Staff and administrators will lose any unused leave in excess of the carryover limit if not used by December 22. The annual leave carryover limit is based on the employee's annual accrual rate of leave according to length of service, as seen below:
- Less than three years of service: 120‑hour carryover maximum
- More than three years, but less than 15 years of service: 160‑hour carryover maximum
- 15 years or more years of service: 208‑hour carryover maximum
For part-time employees, the amount of annual leave carryover is prorated according to the proportion of the work week to a 40‑hour work week.
