New Face Mask Mandate in Effect as of August 2 Return to Campus

Effective Monday, August 2, face coverings (masks) are required for all individuals (employees, students, contractors, and guests) who are indoors, regardless of their vaccination status. New Updates Made to Recruitment and Hiring Policies Post Pandemic

Like many employers across the nation, our ability to recruit and hire qualified talent has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the highly competitive labor market. To address these challenges, the Office of Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management (HRSTM) made some adjustments and enhancements and would like to share what they mean for you.
In January of this year, P&P 32100 Allocation, Recruitment, and Appointment of Regular Employees and Temporary with Benefits Employees was updated to include two key components that support the changing landscape:
  1. Streamlining and greater flexibility in the recruitment process to enhance our timeliness, efficiency, and competitive standing, and
  2. Fostering career movement and promotion opportunities for current employees by requiring an internal posting and advertising period prior to conducting external recruitment efforts, whenever possible. Learn more about what employees and hiring managers can do to support this change.
The HRSTM Talent Acquisition and Employment team is ready and willing to face post-pandemic recruitment and hiring challenges. We are here to support you, welcome your input, and answer any questions.
