Montgomery College Offers New Email for Public Health Inquiries
Following last week’s Town Hall meeting, Montgomery College Interim President Dr. Dukes asked the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management to set up a new email box for public health inquiries. Employees can now email questions about public health issues at the College such as COVID-19 health protocols, vaccinations, exemption processes, testing, and other public health topics to: publichealth@montgomerycollege.edu
Additionally, a new batch of Frequently Asked Questions was posted to the College’s COVID-19 Vaccines webpage, many of them addressing questions raised during and in response to last week’s Town Hall meeting. As the College rolls out its return-to-campus plan we encourage employees to take advantage of these avenues to obtain more information.

What is Workday?
Workday is a leading cloud-based application for human resources, finance, and payroll systems. Through Workday, the College will further digitalize, streamline, and standardize our business process. All benefit-eligible College employees began using Workday in 2017 to select and update their benefits. Since this time, we have successfully launched additional functionality. Employees are now able to:
- Manage professional development and training
- View and update current benefits information
- Create and change personal information
- Update emergency contact information
- Request name changes
- Display position and salary information
- Apply to positions through the internal career app
- Manage goals and performance
In January 2022, the College will reach the next significant milestone with the launch of HCM (human capital management), Payroll, Finance, and full deployment.
Through the power and capability of Workday, we are reducing manual processes, reducing our use of and dependence on paper, providing greater transparency and accountability in our business processes, and providing managers the tools to make data-driven decisions.
