Join Your Colleagues on December 17, 1 p.m. for Montgomery College’s Year End Celebration

The year-end celebration is both a virtual and in-person event taking place at the Theatre Arts Arena, in the Theatre Arts Building, Rockville Campus. To ensure the health and safety of our community, all those attending in person must wear a mask and show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. If approved for a vaccine exception, attendees must show a negative test result. RSVP for this event.

Considering Professional Development Leave? Attend an Information Seminar on December 10

If you are thinking about applying for Professional Development Leave (PDL), this is the seminar for you. This online interactive seminar will review the application and selection process for PDL. This benefit is only available to regular full-time employees with three consecutive years of employment or regular part-time employees (20 hours per week) with six years of consecutive employment. Upon completion of this seminar, you will be able to:
  • Access the application (Leave Requests tab) and supporting material.
  • Refer to the timeline to aid in your application and project-plan preparation.
  • Write your professional development plan addressing the rubric used in the selection process.

Reminder: Complete FY22 Required Workday Training by December 23

As a reminder, the majority of the required FY22 trainings are Workday trainings, which need to be completed by Thursday, December 23, 2021. Workday training requirements are dependent upon the employee's respective role and responsibilities at the College. Please be advised that four required Workday trainings are now available on YouTube:
  • Core Concepts (All Employees)
  • Employee Self-Service: Procurement and EAP Requisitions (Administrators, Department Chairs, Full-time Faculty, Staff, Part-time Faculty)
  • Manager Self-Service: Workday Overview (Managers/Supervisors with Direct Reports)
  • Period Activity Pay (Academic Aides and WDCE Partners)

Proof of Completion Process

To receive credit for completing the required Workday trainings during the Workday blackout period of November 27, 2021 through January 2, 2022, a confirmation (proof of completion) process has been developed for use during this timeframe. A confirmation email will be sent once the online proof of completion is submitted.
