The Excellence in Innovation Award DR. MICHAEL MILLS, Vice President of ELITE Michael Mills led a team to develop five online degrees over the past five years. Join Us at the College’s Year End CelebrationDecember 17, 1 p.m.
The year-end celebration is both a virtual and in-person event taking place at the Theatre Arts Arena in the Theatre Arts Building, Rockville Campus. To ensure the health and safety of our community, all those attending in person must wear a mask and show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Reminder: Complete FY22 Required Workday Training by December 23
As a reminder, the majority of the required FY22 trainings are Workday trainings, which need to be completed by Thursday, December 23, 2021. Workday training requirements are dependent upon the employee's respective role and responsibilities at the College. Please be advised that required Workday trainings are now available on YouTube:

To receive credit and a confirmation email for completing the required Workday trainings during the Workday blackout period of November 27, 2021 through January 2, 2022, visit Workday Training Verification.

What Should I Do When Workday Opens Again?
Once Workday goes live after the Winter Break on Monday, January 3, 2022, you will be able to access MC Learns through Workday again for FY22 required trainings, and other professional development, as well as enter time off (all employees) or enter time worked (hourly employees).
Next Steps for the Week of January 3- Log in to Workday.
- Use Time Entry to enter hours worked for the pay period of December 25, 2021–January 7, 2022; employees must submit timesheets and managers must approve by noon, January 7, 2022 (hourly employees only).
- Enter Time Off (leave requests) for December 25, 2021 and beyond (all employees). Even if your manager already approved time off requests outside of Workday, all Time Off must be entered in Workday to be properly accounted for (all employees).
- Ensure your address, personal information, and emergency contacts are up to date (all employees).
- Review 2022 benefit elections and beneficiaries (if applicable) for accuracy (all employees).
- Review payment elections for payroll and reimbursements (all employees).
- Review tax elections (all employees).
EAP Request Process Moves to Workday on January 3
Starting January 3, 2022, the Educational Assistance Program (EAP) request process will be initiated by employees and processed in Workday. Any current EAP requests should be held until January 3. Please refer to Workday Training for information. Additional videos, trainings, open labs, and resources will be available in January 2022.

McDaniel College Offers Scholarship for Children of K-12 and Community College Employees
In recognition of the importance of excellent teaching, McDaniel College offers the Educator’s Legacy Scholarship, of up to $120,000 over four years to the children of K-12 and community college educators. This means that any child of a benefits-eligible MC employee who meets the eligibility criteria, including professors, counselors, support staff, custodians, and administrators, can earn this scholarship.
