Returning to Regular Operations and Telework Guidance

On Friday, February 18, Dr. Dukes announced that the College will consider requests for telework agreements from telework eligible positions beginning Monday, February 21. As outlined in the Flexible Work Arrangements Procedure, approval of all telework agreements must be based on the operational and service needs of a unit and the essential job duties of a position.
Now that conditions are improving, it is even more critical that we have employees physically present to educate and serve students and engage with the College community. Factors for supervisors to consider in determining eligibility can be found on the Flexible Work Arrangements webpage.
The telework application and agreement can be found under the telework/telecommute section of the Flexible Work Arrangements webpage. All telework applications require the approval of the immediate supervisor and next level supervisor.
Upon approval, employees are required to complete the new online Approved Flexible Work Arrangement Submission Form and upload the approved agreement.
Should you have any questions or need assistance related to telework, please contact your area or unit’s designated HR Internal Consultant or email Flexible Work Arrangements.

MC’s Mask Mandate to Remain in Effect

Montgomery College’s indoor masking continues in full force, even as we hear Maryland and other states are lifting theirs. The College will make its own decisions on mask requirements, based on the latest public health guidance and what best serves the needs of our mission. Higher quality masks such as KN95s and KF94s or double masking are still strongly encouraged. KN95s can be secured from the College’s public safety offices or requested through the Office of Facilities, and are available at several local public libraries.
