MC Employees Welcome Dr. Jermaine F. Williams
Montgomery College President Jermaine F. Williams received an enthusiastic welcome from College employees as he arrived at the Central Services Building this week on February 28. During his first week at the College, Dr. Williams plans to visit each campus, as well as other College offices. See the full schedule.
Dr. Williams expressed his gratitude for the welcome and shared his thoughts on the future in this excerpt from his first President’s Corner:
Thank you all for the warm welcome I have already received—even before my very first day. It is wonderful to experience, first-hand, Montgomery College’s inclusive spirit. As I begin my learning journey at the College, my partner and sons are also adjusting to a new residence and new schools. There is a lot of change in our midst, and it is exciting for all of us. I look forward to learning from new colleagues about the best places to take two very curious and independent children—who are still working out some of their pent-up pandemic energy.

Provide Your Feedback on MC Survey Findings
Last week's open forums were well attended. Open and candid discussions about the four priority themes took place. Thoughtful suggested action items were noted. If you were unable to attend and provide feedback, you have an opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions on actions on the four priority themes. Responses are anonymous. The deadline to provide feedback is Wednesday, March 9, 2022. The four priority themes—two building on our strengths and two growth opportunities are:
Areas Based on Strengths- Building on our impact and pride in the College mission
- Enhancing the successes of our equity, inclusion, and ethics efforts
Areas for Growth Opportunities- Enhancing the quality and effectiveness of performance management
- Greater clarity and inclusivity on both Collegewide and departmental improvements
All feedback and suggested action items will be organized. Next steps are to provide Dr. Williams by the end of March the four priority themes and possible actions for his review, approval, and implementation.
