OBS and HRSTM Provide Support for Workday Business ProcessesOffice of Business Services (OBS)
OBS Procurement Office is hosting ongoing Zoom meetings bi-weekly on Wednesdays beginning March 16, 2–4 p.m., to provide assistance to the College community on the following Workday business processes related to budgets:
Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management (HRSTM)
Register to receive the Zoom meeting invitation. Once you join the Zoom meeting, you will be placed in a waiting room and receive personal assistance on a first-come, first-served basis. Please have your prepay requisition and/or reimbursement documents (i.e., invoices, receipts) saved and ready for review and to be uploaded into Workday. As a reminder, all EAP Travel is reimbursement only and therefore not eligible for prepay. Please refer to the Workday training website for more information and resources.

Opportunities Available to Serve on the New Presidential Transition Advisory Committee
Dr. Jermaine F. Williams, Montgomery College’s new president, plans to select members of the College community for his Presidential Transition Advisory Committee who can best convey diverse interests and perspectives from around the College. He is seeking individuals who are committed to the College’s mission, vision, and core values, and who understand the College’s strategic plan and more. The committee will consist of about 20 people and have an equal mix of College and community members. If this opportunity interests you, please express your interest to the College Council no later than 5 p.m., Monday, March 21. New Color Code System Announced for College Operational Status Due to Inclement Weather
On March 2, Sherwin Collete, senior vice president of administrative and fiscal services, announced that Montgomery College will follow a new operational system that uses color codes to indicate the College’s operational status, especially during inclement weather situations. Montgomery College’s operating status is based on current or forecasted conditions and will be displayed at the top of the College’s homepage. Based on the circumstances, alert notifications will be sent when necessary. All employees are encouraged to visit and thoroughly review the College’s Closures and Delays webpage to become familiar with the new system and expectations.

FSAP Focus in March: Achieving Financial Fitness and Well-Being
ComPsych Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) is focused on achieving and maintaining financial fitness as an important aspect of overall well-being during the month of March. Money matters are among the most common sources of stress. The FSAP is staffed by experienced, graduate-level professionals who can help find solutions to many different kinds of problems you and your dependents may face and help you meet your personal, family, and work challenges.

New Supervisor Orientation Program Returns March 23
The spring session of the New Supervisor Orientation Program begins Wednesday, March 23 at 9 a.m. The program is designed for supervisors who are new to the College, Montgomery College employees who have been recently promoted to a supervisory role, or for experienced supervisors seeking a refresher. The four morning sessions, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on March 23, 24, 30, and 31, will provide participants with the essential information needed to manage and lead a team at Montgomery College. Attendance and participation are required for each morning session as the program content and topics are related and build upon one another. Enroll via MC Learns through Workday.

Since the opening of Workday on January 3, 2022, MC Learns through Workday is available again for FY22 required trainings and other professional development offerings. All MC employees can now enter time off, and hourly employees can enter time worked. Payroll and Finance are now fully live. Visit Workday Training for job aids, training videos, and other resources.
