Signs of Spring and Cheering Raptor Baseball

Although the weather has been chilly lately, there's no question that spring has finally arrived. Montgomery College President Jermaine F. Williams joined enthusiastic faculty, staff, and student fans to cheer on the Raptor baseball team at the Germantown Campus on March 29. The Raptors prevailed and defeated Scotland, 19-15. See box score.
Other spring events will soon be here, including the end-of-academic-year student award celebrations, Dr. Harry Harden Jr. Student Academic Excellence Awards, the Spring Closing Meeting, and Montgomery College’s 75th Anniversary Commencement—and the first in‑person commencement since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Williams invites you to the Spring Closing Meeting on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 9 a.m. in Globe Hall in the High Technology and Science Center (HT) at the Germantown Campus. Come and celebrate the accomplishments of your colleagues. For those who cannot attend in person, the Spring Closing Meeting will stream live on the College's YouTube channel. We look forward to seeing you there. For additional information about professional week and other activities, refer to the Closing Meeting website.

We Need You! Volunteer for Commencement

There's a buzz in the air, an undercurrent of excitement—the anticipation of hosting the College’s first in‑person commencement since 2019. Montgomery College graduates will finally have the opportunity to walk across the stage and celebrate their hard work and achievements with their friends and families in the audience—but we need your help!
Many volunteers are required each day. No experience is necessary. Whether you have helped with commencement for years, or if this will be your first commencement experience, we need you to sign up now. You can select your volunteer area and will have a choice of one or both days—Thursday, May 19, or Friday, May 20. College services will be suspended until 2 p.m, to allow you to help with commencement on the Rockville Campus for the morning/early afternoon each day.
Our graduates (and the planning committee) thank you for volunteering and signing up now at: Commencement Volunteers | Montgomery College, Maryland
