Employee Data Dashboard Updated for September 2022
The Office of Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management’s employee data dashboard provides general data about Montgomery College employees on a regular basis to encourage employees to access on-demand information and resources. The data for September is updated as of September 12, 2022, which reflects the fall semester. Updates include general information including the total employee headcount with a breakdown by employee type and demographic groups. We hope this dashboard will help you in planning, answering questions, and understanding MC employee trends.

Safe Zones Training Available
Safe Zones is an informative and experiential full-day training. It runs for 6.5 hours. Participants will have an opportunity to explore their individual assumptions and understanding about LGBTQ+ people. Core concepts about LGBTQ+ identity development, stereotypes and stigmas, homophobia and heterosexism, the coming out process, respectful vocabulary, common LGBTQI+ student needs and concerns, and resources for continued learning and sharing will be presented. How to be an ally, including how to support LGBTQ+ staff and students who may seek your support and how to respond to incidents of discrimination and harassment, will be explored through a range of activities.

Ryan Pollard with AIG (one of our supplemental retirement annuity vendors) will be available for one‑on‑one meetings on 9/28, 10/25, and 11/9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the HRSTM suite, located on the ground floor of the Central Services (CT) building. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at MC
Montgomery College is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) with an array of events on all campuses.
The theme for 2022 is "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation."
Hispanic Heritage Month is meant to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success.

Personal Statement of Benefits for Employees and Pension Retirement Participants Now Available in mySRPS Portal
The 2022 Personal Statement of Benefits showing account status as of June 30, 2022 will be available on or around September 9, 2022 for members who were active as of June 30, 2022.
The Maryland State Retirement Agency provides an annual Personal Statement of Benefits as of the close of each fiscal year (June 30) for active members. Through this portal, participants are able to access the most recent Personal Statement of Benefits that was provided for each system and plan of participation. Prior fiscal year statements may not accurately reflect current benefit entitlements depending on the actions taken by the individual. These actions include transfers or withdrawals, subsequent to the date of the Personal Statement of Benefits.

Reminder: Move to New Telephone Service Provider
What is happening? The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has begun transitioning the College’s phones to an updated telephone service. It will take approximately four months to move the College’s 3,500 phones to the new service.
What can I expect? The transition will be broken into several phases. The Germantown Campus transition will begin on September 20, 2022. As a result, all calls to and from Germantown Campus will require the entire 10‑digit phone number to be dialed until the transition project has been completed in December.
You will keep your same phone and phone number. Changes to the features and functions will have a minimum impact on your day‑to‑day use.
