Final Reminder: Self-Disclosure Requests Sent to Workday Inbox Will Expire September 30

In May 2022, employees received two self-disclosure requests in their Workday inbox—one to self-identify as a veteran, and the other to self-identify as an individual with a disability. Identifying as a veteran or as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Self-disclosing this information will not negatively impact you in any way.

If you do not take action to disclose, these requests will expire after September 30. Because either status may change at any time, we ask all our employees to update their information as soon as anything changes. You can search for and complete the “Change My Veteran Status Identification” Task or the “Change Self-Identification of Disability” Task in Workday at any time. Should you have any questions or concerns pertaining to individuals with disabilities please contact Rowena D’Souza. Questions regarding veterans should be directed to the HRSTM Help Desk.

Reminder: Move to New Telephone Service Provider

What is happening?
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has begun transitioning the College’s phones to an updated telephone service. It will take approximately four months to move the College’s 3,500 phones to the new service.
What can I expect?
The transition will be broken into several phases. The Rockville Campus transition will begin on October 4, 2022. As a result, all calls to and from Rockville Campus will require the entire 10-digit phone number to be dialed until the transition project has been completed in December.
The Germantown Campus telephone transition was completed on September 20, 2022. As a reminder, all calls to and from Germantown Campus will require 10-digit dialing until project completion.

You will keep your same phone and phone number. Changes to the features and functions will have a minimum impact on your day‑to‑day use.

Please contact the IT Service Desk to address any questions or concerns:
  • by email at itservicedesk@montgomerycollege.edu
  • by web chat on OIT’s web page
  • by phone at 240-567-7222
