Help Us Help You! Reminders from the HR Help Desk
The Office of Human Resouces and Strategic Talent Management (HRSTM) and the HR Help Desk are here to support our staff and faculty so they can support our students and the community. Here are a few reminders about our contact information, hours of operation, and how to get the support you need as quickly as possible:
- HRSTM is open and available for onsite support Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. We are located on the ground floor of the Central Services building at 9221 Corporate Blvd., Rockville, MD 20850, which is accessible by MC Shuttle and public transportation.
- If there is a specific HRSTM team member you need to meet with in person, please make an appointment during these hours. Employees may visit the HRSTM Suite to use a computer if they need to make changes in Workday that must be completed at an MC campus or building location for security purposes, such as Payment Election changes.
- If you are unsure of who in HRSTM you need to speak with, you can check the Points of Contact page on the HRSTM website. You can call us at 240-567-5353 or email us at HRSTM@montgomerycollege.edu and we will route your concern to the appropriate HRSTM team member, if necessary. You can also reach out to the following shared team inboxes: Benefits and Retirement, Classification and Compensation, EAP Requests, Employee Engagement, Employee and Labor Relations, Payroll and Time Tracking, and Wellness.
- If you call the HRSTM main line and no one is able to answer your call, then you should leave a message with your name, M number, and a brief explanation of your situation and/or question. We will gladly return your call within 24-48 business hours. We ask that you refrain from calling back-to-back without leaving a message. The HR Help Desk staff may be assisting other employees onsite or already assisting someone by phone when calls come through.
- All employment verifications without full Social Security Numbers (SSN) should be emailed to the HRSTM inbox, which includes Public Student Loan Forgiveness forms. Make sure your SSN is not on the form when you send it to us; add that yourself before you mail it to the Department of Education. If your form already has an SSN and you cannot remove it, please make sure you password protect the file before you email it and send the password separately.
