Benefits: Open Enrollment Ends November 18

All employees are required to log into Workday to review and submit their 2023 benefit elections, even if they are not making any changes.
The HRSTM Benefits Team would like to continue to encourage you to explore the Open Enrollment website, which is full of resources and information to help you navigate the upcoming 2023 benefit changes.
The virtual benefits advisor, Alex, can explain, recommend, and provide a side-by-side comparison of the College's health plans.
If you were unable to attend an onsite fair, the HRSTM Benefits Team will continue to conduct virtual sessions to answer your questions until November 18. Schedule your 10-minute appointment through Sign-Up Genius today.

Important Notice: Adjusting AWS for Holidays
For employees with an alternative work schedule (AWS), which entails working a full week in less than five (5) days and/or a combination of different hours each workday to get to a 40-hour workweek, it is advised to adjust the work schedule to regular 8-hour days for weeks with holidays to ensure no issues with receiving a regular weeks’ pay.
Supervisors can make a short-term adjustment to the work schedule by using a start date and an end date. View the Manage Team’s Time and Time Off job aid and see Assign Work Schedule.

STMOD Team on Rockville CampusOn Tuesday, November 8, 2022, the 12 members of the HRSTM Strategic Talent Management and Organizational Development (STMOD) team spent the day on the Rockville Campus.
The team led by Director Lauren Landau, includes talent aquisition and employment, classification and compensation, organizational development, and HR outreach. The full-day retreat focused on cross-training and customer service. Opportunities to improve the intersectionality of the work and address barriers to accurate and timely customer service were identified and flushed out.
It was invigorating to be on campus with students, and Fred the T-Rex was a highlight of their campus tour.
