2022 Full-Time Staff and Administrators Time Off Reporting and CarryoverThe end of the calendar year is approaching, so we wanted to remind full‑time staff and administrators about the College's annual and personal time off carryover limits and deadlines. The deadline for annual and personal leave for 2022 is December 23.
Workday divides absences into two categories: Time Off and Leave. Time Off refers to accrued time off allowances for day‑to‑day or short-term absences, such as annual, sick, personal, etc. Leave refers to long‑term absences, like Family and Medical Leave (FML), sabbatical, professional, development, etc.
Please visit the Office of Human Resources Strategic Talent Management (HRSTM) site for examples regarding the amount of unused annual and personal time that may carry over into the next calendar year and read the Time Off Carryover memo in its entirety.

The Importance of Self-Care During the HolidaysThe holiday season is an assortment of excitement and anxiety. There are several feelings, ranging from joyful to unfavorable, that are associated with seeing or missing family and friends, as well as stress from planning, preparing for travel, cooking, in-laws, endless lines, and holiday shopping.
For many, the holiday season involves trying to take care of others, which leaves little time for self-care. Here are some tips to help boost your mind, become more stress-resistant, and find more joy this holiday season.
Take a break. Whether you’re working from home or at your workplace, busy with kids or everyday housework, we can all use a break. Take a moment to stretch, pamper yourself, or practice mindfulness meditation.
Sleep well. Lack of sleep can affect the way you feel mentally and physically. If you’re having trouble sleeping due to extra stress, try limiting your screen time before bed. Avoid chemicals that may disrupt sleep, such as alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine. Take a hot bath or shower to relieve any stress from the day.
Stay connected. Staying connected with family and friends can do wonders for your physical and emotional wellness. Regular video chats are a great way to keep in touch.
Make your well-being and happiness a priority in your life. If you don’t, who will?
