Workday: Update Your Career/Talent Profile

As enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, one of the benefits of Workday is that it can provide insight into the talent, skills, and experience of our workforce.
In order for the College to maximize the system's capability, we are asking all employees to complete their career/talent profile.
Updating and maintaining your skills, experience, and training in Workday provides your manager with valuable information that can be used to support your professional development and help in making decisions related to organizational development and workforce planning. Please refer to the “Manage Your Career/Talent Profile” job aid to complete your profile today.

Employee Spotlight: Meet Mary Snider!

Mary is an administrative aide II on the Germantown Campus. She has been in her position for 10 years, working in the ELAP, Communication Studies, and Linguistics Department.
Mary loves working with students and learning about their backgrounds, life experiences, and cultures. Her favorite aspect of working at MC is the diversity of our students and employees.
When Mary is not working, she's fishing! Mary grew up fishing and started competing in bass fishing tournaments five years ago. She is the only female member of Maryland’s largest bass fishing club. The weekend tournaments take her to lakes in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania during the season, which runs from April to November. Mary has won several bass fishing tournaments and is sure to win more!

Workday: Review and Update Performance Goals

Our performance evaluation cycle requires employees to set performance goals in September for the following year. Your performance will be evaluated against those goals in July.
While we are several months away from performance evaluations, now is the perfect time to manage your goals in Workday. You can update your goals and add new ones if your responsibilities have changed. Log in to Workday to check on your goals and use the “Manage Goals” job aid for assistance.
If you would like to review some additional resources, visit the Performance Management website. Here you can find a link to enroll in our “Goal Setting” course and watch a pre-recorded video on how to enter your goals in Workday. If you have any questions or need individual assistance, please reach out to your on-campus HR Internal Consultant.
