Insights on Retirement and Financial Well-Being: ComPsych Webinars
- On Thursday, October 19, at noon, join ComPsych on Zoom to attend the “Are You Financially on Track for Retirement?” webinar.
One of the top financial goals for individuals and couples is to be financially secure in retirement. This goal is not one that can be planned for in just the last few years leading up to the planned retirement date, but must be set and have milestones identified throughout the different stages of life. There are many “rules of thumb” or theories on the proper amount and type of savings and investments one should have when setting aside money for retirement, but in reality, there is not one plan or solution that fits everyone. Secure your webinar seat today.
- On Wednesday, October 25, at noon, join ComPsych for “The Psychology of Saving Money and Other Good Financial Habits” webinar.
Most people can honestly say they believe it’s important to spend within their means and to save money for the future. Unfortunately, good intentions are often at odds with how our mind works. For example, many people want to save for the future but have no motivation to do so because they have not imagined that future. This course addresses the psychology behind saving money and adopting good financial habits. It will examine recent research related to how and why people save versus spend and identify strategies for participants to change their financial mindset and develop new habits. Enroll in the webinar today.
If you are not able to attend the webinars, they will be recorded for future viewing.

#YouBelongHere at Montgomery CollegeMCTV’s #YouBelongHere testimonial in this issue of Employee Matters comes from Demetra Crawford, an early college coordinator for biotechnology and business at MC.
“As an early college coordinator at Montgomery College, my goal is to support students as they embark on a remarkable journey to obtain both their high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously. Our Early College program is a beacon of innovation, offering Montgomery County Public School students a unique opportunity to experience college-level courses, accelerate degree completion, and save significantly on college tuition.”
“This transformative program is closely aligned with the blueprint for Maryland’s future, emphasizing the importance of dual enrollment in bridging educational gaps and fostering student success. By promoting dual enrollment, we are advancing the goals of increasing college readiness and reducing achievement disparities among students. I am honored to be part of this educational transformation, helping students navigate this unique phase in their lives, shaping their futures, and contributing to the realization of Maryland's educational vision. Together, we are building a brighter future for our students and our community.”
