Update Your Talent Profile in WorkdayAn updated talent profile is a great way to document your credentials. You are able to add your work experience, education, and certifications directly into Workday.
This is important because talent acquisition, classification, and compensation refer to this information as part of various analyses, including identification of advancement and development opportunities, classification reviews, and more.

Before you extend or terminate Federal Work Study students, please contact Derek Thompson or Santiago Bonilla for FWS eligibility.
The links to the job aids are available below: To Extend Employment (job aid): The request to extend a student worker will be sent to the registrar to confirm enrollment. Please ensure that the student worker is registered for six (6) credits for the next semester (12 if an international student). Enter 5/24/2024 as the end date for the extension.
To Terminate Employment (job aid): Please note that if a manager does not act to extend the end date of a student worker prior to the assignment end date, the student worker’s employment will automatically terminate on the end date.

Two Racial Healing Circles Being Offered in November by the MC Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Campus Center
The College’s Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) Campus Center has added a second Racial Healing Circle for the month of November. To learn more and register, please visit the TRHT Campus Center webpage.
Racial Healing Circle, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, noon–2 p.m., Rockville Campus, SV 416, facilitated by Jacquelyn Williams and Glenda Hernandez Tittle.
Racial Healing Circle, Monday, November 20, 2023, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Germantown Campus, BE 160, facilitated by Ken Nelson and Stacey Gustavson.
What to expect from a Racial Healing Circle: A group of 10–20 diverse individuals from the College will meet for one and a half to two hours to go through a series of activities that help us get to know each other better. The idea is that if we know each other better as individuals, we can break down the hierarchy of who is important and who is not (the hierarchy of human value). By knowing each other better, we are better positioned to tackle the important policies, practices, and narratives that are barriers to fulfilling the mission of the College.
About the MC TRHT Campus Center: Montgomery College is one of more than 70 higher education institutions across the country with a Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) Campus Center, which is an initiative of the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). MC’s TRHT Campus Center aims to provide community healing activities that promote narrative change in order to dismantle the belief in a hierarchy of human values and to prepare the next generation of leaders to advocate for racial and social justice. MC’s TRHT Campus Center was launched in 2021 with generous support from AAC&U and the Meyer Foundation.

MC Wellness: World Kindness Day Is November 13
On World Kindness Day, Monday, November 13, we challenge you to be kind to yourself and others and perform a random act of kindness.
Data and research show that performing acts of kindness helps reduce stress and overall well-being. Practice the art of kindness—Mayo Clinic Health System.
During stressful times, performing acts of kindness can help you decrease cortisol, a hormone directly correlated with stress levels.
We encourage you to share a note of support and kindness with a coworker, student, or family member. Pick up a card at the Open Enrollment Benefits Fairs at each campus or the CT Main Lobby between 8:30–10 a.m. on November 13.
If you would like to share a photo of your act of kindness, please send it to Megan Cooperman.
