MC STEM Ambassadors Update: Origami Workshop for Preschoolers
On March 11, MC STEM Ambassadors Kenny Nguyen and Michael Lopez returned to the MC Center for Early Education Lab School to host a new STEM workshop for children ages 3–5 years old.
With a short review of origami, basic shapes, and colors, the STEM Ambassadors guided the preschoolers with each creative paper fold.
After the small origami flower shapes were complete, Kenny and Michael assembled all the pieces together to show the children the complete Sakura Kusudama. What a sight! The children’s excitement and perseverance in this task were a true joy to watch.
This STEM workshop is part of an ongoing collaboration with the Montgomery College Center for Early Education Lab School and the MC STEM Ambassadors program.
