Final Reminder: Update Your SRA Deduction by February 28
If you are enrolled in a Supplemental Retirement Annuity (SRA), you must take action by Friday, February 28, 2025, to change your flat dollar election to a percentage. Your change must be effective on March 1 in Workday to ensure a smooth transition. Many employees have already made this change—we thank you for acting quickly! If you do not make a percentage election by this Friday, you will have no SRA deduction from your pay until you take action.
Please refer to the e-blast from Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with key updates and guidance to help you with this process. Reference the job aid for step-by-step instructions to make your change in Workday. You can also view the original memo and worksheet for more information. Although letters mailed to many employee homes had a conversion of current flat dollar amounts, we recommend using the worksheet to confirm the correct percentage based on the number of pay dates you plan to contribute (20 pays or 26 pays).
Attend one of the final Zoom Office Hours for assistance with completing your election via screen sharing in Workday (please come prepared with your percentage and ready to share your screen). Join Zoom to be placed in the waiting room on the following dates (same meeting link for all sessions):
- Thursday, February 27, 2025, 3–4 p.m.
- Friday, February 28, 2025, 10–11 a.m.

EAP/PDAP Reminders: Processing Delays, Streamlined Process, Demo Videos Now Available
Effective January 2025, the EAP/PDAP process has been streamlined to one step for direct payments and non-travel reimbursements and an annual acknowledgement form to be completed once per fiscal year. For more details, please read the memo here.
Many employees are still following the old processes for direct pay and non-travel reimbursements, which is unnecessarily causing processing delays. Updated job aids and new demo videos for these new processes are now available on the EAP/PDAP webpage.

Important Reminder: Overtime Policy for Non-Exempt Employees
To ensure clarity and compliance with our overtime policy, we want to remind everyone of the guidelines regarding non-exempt (hourly) Montgomery College employees:
For Supervisors: Any time a non-exempt employee works more than 40 hours in a work week, they must be compensated for that overtime. The rate of pay for overtime is one and one-half times (1.5x) the employee’s regular hourly rate. Please ensure all overtime is accurately documented and processed. For more information, please refer to P&P 35001CP.
For Employees: Please remember that working overtime without prior approval from your supervisor is not permitted. If you anticipate needing to work extra hours, make sure to obtain approval from your supervisor in advance. This helps manage workloads effectively and ensures compliance with our overtime policy. For more information, please review the full policy in P&P 35001CP.

As a reminder, the deadline to use annual and personal time off for the applicable calendar year for full-time staff and administrators is always the last Friday before Winter Break begins, which is also the last day of the final pay period of the calendar year.
