Template Instructions
This text is placeholder content to guide you in creating your memo email. Please follow the instructions below, which you will later delete and replace with your own text.
- Create a Blank Draft Email
Open Outlook and create a new blank draft email message. You will copy the template elements from this webpage and paste them into your draft message..
- Copy the Template into Your Draft
Return to this template page in your web browser. Select all content on this page. Highlight all or use the keyboard shortcut: Control + A (Windows) or Command + A (Mac)
Copy the selected content. Choose the “Copy” command in your web browser or use the keyboard shortcut: Control + C (Windows) or Command + C (Mac)
Go back to your blank draft email message. Click into the body of the draft message and paste the content. Choose the “Paste” command or use the keyboard shortcut: Control + V (Windows) or Command + V (Mac)
- Update the Template Content
Update the placeholder text in the top section of the template. Confirm that the body text font is Arial, 11 pt.
Delete the template instructions and the informational text at the bottom of the page, and replace the text with your memo.
Be sure to save the draft email before sending.
- Use Montgomery College official colors.
If you wish to apply the College’s official purple to a subhead or link, please use the following color values of the purple: RGB: 81, 35, 127 or Hex: #51237F
